The Ontario Provincial Nominee Program draw was held after revamping the province’s immigration intake system on this May 11. A total of 81 candidates have been invited in this draw.
Candidates needed an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile with a score of at least 31 and with a job offer in one of the 15 healthcare occupations or 8 skilled trade occupations. Expression of Interest profile is a stream of Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP). One can create their expression of interest profile to eventually apply for one of Ontario’s base provincial nominee programs.
The Ontario Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream is open to foreign nationals who have secured an eligible job offer (a job offer accompanied by a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment issued by ESDC) from an employer in Ontario. One needs to have an equivalent of two years of work experience in a skilled occupation. Under the National Occupational Classification code (NOC) , here is the eligible list of healthcare and skilled trades occupations that are currently eligible for Ontario immigration:
3012 – Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses
3112 – General practitioners and family physicians
3121 – Optometrists
3122 – Chiropractors
3124 – Allied primary health practitioners
3125 – Other professional occupations in health diagnosing and treating
3131 – Pharmacists
3132 – Dietitians and nutritionists
3141 – Audiologists and speech-language pathologists
3213 – Animal health technologists and veterinary technicians
3214 – Respiratory therapists, clinical perfusionists and cardiopulmonary technologists
3215 – Medical radiation technologists
3216 – Medical sonographers
3232 – Practitioners of natural healing
3236 – Massage therapists
7241 – Electricians (except industrial and power system)
7271 – Carpenters
7302 – Contractors and supervisors, heavy equipment operator crews
7312 – Heavy-duty equipment mechanics
7313 – Refrigeration and air conditioning mechanics
7318 – Elevator constructors and mechanics
