The Cultural Access Pass (CAP)

The Cultural Access Pass (CAP) allows new Canadian citizens to travel, explore and discover Canada during the first year of their citizenship with some amazing benefits.

The Cultural Access Pass is a unique, one-of-its-kind program undertaken by the Institute for Canadian Citizenship (ICC). If you are above 18 years of age at the time you are becoming a Canadian citizen, you are eligible to apply for the Cultural Access Pass (CAP). However, in order to receive the CAP, you must apply within one year of your citizenship stature.

The CAP provides its holder free admission to more than 1,400 premier cultural attractions of Canada. it also provides discounts on travel, food, stays and amenities, etc. The holder of the CAP can also bring their children (dependents) with them on their travels/visits. The number of dependents is limited by four, though. The attractions include:

• Hundreds of attractions to visit for free
• Discount on train/rail tickets booked through Rail Canada
• Visit Canada’s national parks for free
• Visit Canada’s national marine parks for free
• Visit hundreds of Canada’s historic and cultural sights for free
• Discount on stay and food at world-renowned hotels

CAP members get regular updates on their registered email addresses regarding the various benefits offered by ICC through the CAP program. These include periodic free passes to live dance, theatre or opera, film festivals, local arts and culture events, etc.
