British Columbia, Alberta, and Prince Edward Island (PEI) have issued invitations to candidates in several in-demand occupations through their respective Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs).  Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) allow provincial governments to choose economic immigration candidates who can well-establish themselves within the respective province. Selected candidates receive an Expression of Interest (EOI) letter to apply for provincial nomination, enhancing their application for permanent resident status in Canada.

Applicants have two pathways to apply through a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) - through direct application to a PNP program, termed base nomination, or through selection by a provincial government via the Express Entry application pool, termed enhanced nomination. Successful candidates nominated by a province through Express Entry automatically earn an extra 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points on their Express Entry application.
