British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, & PEI Issues Invitations

The most recent Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) draw results have seen candidates nominated by British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Prince Edward Island (PEI). Provinces utilize the PNPs to nominate candidates deemed capable of seamlessly integrating into the local workforce and contributing to the provincial economy. Obtaining a PNP nomination significantly strengthens a candidate's application when applying to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for permanent residency.

Determining eligibility for Canadian immigration is crucial, and provinces play a pivotal role in this shared responsibility between IRCC and the provincial governments. Annually, as outlined in the federal Immigration Levels Plan, IRCC establishes targets for the overall number of candidates eligible for permanent residency through the PNPs. The department further refines these targets, distributing nominations to each province based on factors such as existing population and labour market needs.
