Saskatchewan Conducts Job Fair for New Immigrants

The government of Saskatchewan organized a job fair exclusively for newcomers to Canada on November 1 at the Viterra International Trade Centre, located in Regina at 1700 Elphinstone Street.

Around 90 employers, agencies, and chambers of commerce were available to give more information related to job placements across Saskatchewan. Delegates from the field of agriculture, construction, health, hospitality, industrial manufacturing, mining, retail, technology, and transportation were anticipated to part take.

Immigration and Career Training Minister Jeremy Harrison asserted that for newcomers, procuring employment was an essential step in the process of settling-in and they intended to ease that process by assembling employers, chambers of commerce, and settlement services organizations, together at a job fair and commended Saskatchewan’s business community for the considerable effort that would help the province’s newcomers.
