Canada's PNP Programs | November Month's Overview

During the month of November, Canada’s Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) category orchestrated selection draws, issuing invitations to a total of 4,272 candidates. Seven provinces including Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan, PEI, and Quebec, actively engaged in these draws. Quebec, in particular, played a significant role by issuing a substantial number of invitations, totaling 1,210. The collective effort resulted in Canada hosting a total of 14 Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) draws over the course of the month.

In November, 14 Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws were conducted across seven Canadian provinces, issuing a staggering 4,272 invitations for Provincial Nominations.

Here is the compilation of provinces that conducted PNP draws in November 2023:

Alberta | via Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP)

On November 9th, Alberta, through the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP), conducted a draw and issued invitations to 16 candidates with a score of 305 or more. These invitations specifically targeted individuals in the healthcare profession.

 

British Columbia | via British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC-PNP)

In November, the province of British Columbia, through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) carried out a total of four draws. Notably, on November 16, 2023, BC PNP conducted a specialized draw specifically targeting 25 new construction occupations. In these draws, British Columbia issued more than 760 invitations for permanent residency in November. The breakdown of invitations and draw types is as follows:

  • November 28: 185 invitations - General and targeted draws for Early Childhood Education (ECE), Construction, and Healthcare occupations.
  • November 21: 161 invitations - Targeted draws for ECE, Construction, and Healthcare occupations.
  • November 16: 224 invitations - General and targeted draws for ECE, Construction, and Healthcare occupations.
  • November 7: 190 invitations - Targeted draws for Tech, ECE, and Healthcare occupations.

 

Ontario | via Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP)

In November, there was a solitary draw conducted by Ontario through the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). A total of 1,052 invitations were issued by the province. These invitations were specifically allocated to candidates within the Express Entry Human Capital Priorities stream, with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores falling in the range of 404 to 430.

 

Manitoba | via Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)

On November 30, the province through its Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) issued a combined total of 268 invitations. This comprised 82 invitations for the International Education Stream, 38 invitations for Skilled Workers Overseas, and 148 invitations under the Skilled Workers Manitoba stream. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points varied, with Skilled Workers Manitoba candidates requiring 609 points, while Skilled Workers Overseas candidates requiring at least 720 points.

Likewise, on November 16, a total of 92 invitations were issued to Skilled Workers Manitoba through ‘occupations-specific’ selection, and another 100 invitations were issued for Skilled Workers Manitoba under the category of ‘All’ occupations. Additionally, 61 invitations were issued to the International Education Stream, and 48 invitations were issued under the Skilled Workers Overseas stream. In terms of points requirement, candidates from Skilled Workers Manitoba were expected to achieve a score of 809 points, while Skilled Workers Overseas needed to secure 721 points.

During the draw on November 2, a collective of 400 invitations were issued. Among these, 204 invitations were specifically allocated for Skilled Workers Manitoba, necessitating a points-total of 785. Additionally, 65 invitations were extended under the Skilled Workers Overseas category, with candidates needing to attain a minimum of 708 points. Furthermore, there were 131 invitations allocated for the International Education Stream during the same draw.

 

Prince Edward Island (PEI) | via Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI-PNP)

On November 30, PEI, through the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) issued invitations to individuals working in the Healthcare, Manufacturing, Food Processing, and Construction sectors ,through the Labour and Express Entry Invitations. In total, 69 invitations were extended to eligible candidates. On November 16, Critical Worker and Express Entry invitations were issued to individuals working for a PEI Employer, requiring a minimum Expression of Interest (EOI) score of 55 under Labour & Express Entry Invitations. Additionally, Business Work Permit Entrepreneur Invitations numbered 7, with a stipulated Minimum Point Threshold of 80.

On November 02, invitations were issued to individuals in the Healthcare, Manufacturing, Food Processing, and Agriculture sectors under Labour & Express Entry Invitations, amounting to 42 invitations.

 

Quebec Immigration Program

Quebec immigration recently conducted a draw through the Arrima Expression of Interest system, resulting in the issuance of 1,210 invitations to apply for Canada immigration. The draw on November 16 specifically focused on candidates possessing French language proficiency of level 7 or higher on the Quebec proficiency scale within two specified sets of occupations.

To qualify, candidates needed to attain a minimum score of 609 points on the Quebec Expression of Interest points system. This draw highlights Quebec's emphasis on language skills and occupation-specific criteria in the selection process for immigration candidates.

 

Saskatchewan | via Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)

The province of Saskatchewan, through the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) carried out a draw for the Entrepreneur stream, issuing a total of 13 invitations. The draw, which took place on November 2, necessitated candidates to attain a minimum score of 115 points, with an average score requirement of 130 points. This draw underscores the province's ongoing efforts to attract and nominate entrepreneurs who meet specific criteria, contributing to economic development and growth in Saskatchewan.

In summary, the total number of invitations issued across all provinces in November 2023 amounted to 4,272.
