The Canadian province of Saskatchewan boasts a thriving economy, natural resources, & beautiful landscapes. The province has taken a decision to raise its minimum wage to $13 per hour w.e.f. October 1, 2022. The provincial authorities have informed this matter to all registered employers and employees in the province.

The province announced the hike in the month of May this year, breaking with the indexation mechanism that had been used to determine increases. It was announced that the minimum wage would increase to $14 on October 1, 2023, and $15 on October 1, 2024. Since 2007, when it was $7.95, the minimum wage has climbed by a total of 63.5% over a total of 14 hikes.
