Manitoba Immigration issued 125 Letters of Advice to apply through the Manitoba Provincial Nominate Program (MPNP) to qualified international graduates. On the 2nd of July, LAAs were issued through 3 MPMP streams.
In Manitoba, skilled workers received 101 LAAs with a lowest score of 475, 18 LAAs were received by candidates from the International Education Stream, while overseas skilled workers received 6 LAAs with a minimum score of 816 through the Strategic Recruitment Initiative stream.
Out of the 125 candidates who received LAAs, 10 candidates had valid Express Entry IDs and job seeker validation codes. This was the 93rd draw in the history of the MPNP.
The Skilled Worker Overseas Stream (SWO) has a dedicated Express Entry pathway as well as a direct provincial pathway.
It is designed for internationally qualified candidates with expertise and training in ‘in-demand’ occupations in Manitoba. Priority shall be given to applicants and spouses with close family ties, language skills, training, and work experience Canada.
Manitoba Express Entry Pathway: Manitoba is offering candidates in the Manitoba Express Entry Pathway to apply to the province to receive a provincial nomination in Canada. Candidates need skills, training and experience in one of the ‘in-demand job occupations’ in Manitoba, and a strong family relationship with the province.
Direct Provincial Pathway: It is applicable for international skilled workers with expertise and good knowledge for the in-demand occupations in Manitoba. Soon after the arrival, the candidates should demonstrate their potentiality by finding a job as soon as possible.
The Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream (SWM) relies on the Manitoba employers’ specific needs. SWM will select and nominate foreign trained workers with appropriate skills for permanent residency in Canada. The stream gives priority to Manitoba candidates with two pathways towards immigration.
Manitoba Work Experience Pathway: This steam targets foreign nationals who already have work experience in Manitoba and are working in the province at the time of application who were working on temporary work permits. Candidates do not need to be working in ‘In-Demand’ Occupations.
Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway: This stream is applicable for applicants from overseas with valid job offers from an approved Manitoba employer.
The Manitoba International Education Stream (IES) is dedicated to helping international graduates in Manitoba (graduated from colleges and universities of Manitoba) remain in the province as permanent residents.
In accordance with IES, applicants no longer have to work in their field for six months before applying for an MPNP nomination. It is geared towards international graduates in the province who meet the eligibility criteria for the various pathways.
