Manitoba PNP

In the last draw of the Manitoba PNP, a total of 347 invitations were issued to skilled workers and international graduates from all over the world. As of now (this year 2019), the province has issued a total of 6,157 invitations.

Invitations are also called Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) in the province of Manitoba. Of the total 347 invitations (LAAs) issued this time, 45 LAAs were issued to candidates having a valid electronic profile (a profile that is not expired) in the Express Entry selection system. Express Entry is a selection system, through which the Federal government of Canada (IRCC) selects candidates for economic immigration to Canada through three programs – Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC), Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSTC) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) – as well as a portion of Provincial Nominations (enhanced nominations). Candidates in the Express Entry pool who receive a provincial nomination (in this specific case, an LAA) are awarded 600 additional CRS points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, and the profiles are thereby automatically (electronically) pushed to the front of the queue, triggering an Invitation to Apply (ITA).

To be considered in this stream, the candidate should also have received a job offer in one of the occupations in demand (target occupations) in the province. To be considered for a Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA), candidates must have an active Express Entry profile, and provide the required information on their education, work experience and proficiency in English or French, among other factors. The lowest-ranked skilled worker invited in the last draw had a CRS score of 545.
