Express Entry draw # 95

Date: July 25, 2018

Lowest CRS cut-off score: 441

Number of invitations (ITAs) issued: 3,750

The second express entry draw of July 25, 2018 has resulted in the issuance of a total of 3,750 invitations. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cut-off threshold for this draw was 441 points, which is one point less that the previous 2 draws.

Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) ranks candidates in the Express Entry Pool using a points-based selection system called the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), and select highest-ranking candidates from the pool and invite them to apply for permanent residence by issuing a document called the ITA (Invitation to Apply). Invited candidates will now have 60 days (previously it was 90 days) to complete their application for permanent residence as per the latest news release from Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) released on 26 June 2018.

The government had revealed its multi-year immigration target for 2018-2020 on November last year, intending to increase the total number of intakes through the express entry selection system. Accordingly, the total intake through the Federal Skilled Workers Class (FSWC), Canadian Experience Class (CEC), and Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSTC) is estimated to be around 250,000 over the next three years, and 184,000 or so immigrants will be invited to apply through the various Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) by 2020.

The graph below shows the Express Entry draw stats. The total invitations issued started at 2,750 on 10 January, gradually increasing on successive draws.

Note: The draw held on 30 May 2018 was program-specific. Therefore, the number of invitations is lower than the usual.

The latest draw yields the total number of Invitations issued so far in 2018 to 47,200.
