The introduction of Biometrics into the Canadian information security systems is expected to increase the safety of Canadian citizens and Permanent Residents.

Canada is intending to increase the level of safety it provides to its communities by the introduction of advanced identification techniques like fingerprints scan and related technology. 8 major Canadian airports are now equipped with a Primary Kiosk, where you need to first scan your fingerprints. This is a much more easy and scientific way of proving if the person is really whom the person claims she or he is, compared to traditional methods like documents verification. Also, Biometrics eliminates the risks of forging.
